About us
After settling in our dream property, Petit Jardin was started in spring 2019.
The vision was to create a space where nature and elegance coexist, a place able to nurish our family and create a commercial organic market garden.
The proximity of Bayview to the sea creates a microclimate that is nearly frost-free, providing an ideal environment for growing a variety of plants. Initial groundwork has already been completed, with an established array of mature fruit trees thriving.
We continue developing the orchard by integrating some principles of food forest design and permaculture. The selection includes peaches and nectarines, apples and pears, bright oranges and lemons, alongside creamy avocados and various berries.
The market garden consists of 82 standard permanent beds, each 30 meters long. Of these, 14 beds are cultivated under greenhouses.
Quality and nutrient-rich vegetables are the foundation of our practice. One of our primary goals is to nurture and improve the soil, ensuring it provides the essential nutrients and environment necessary to grow healthy, robust plants.
We Adopte a mix of sustainable gardening techniques. Combining no-till practices with organic and permaculture methods sometimes flirting with some biodynamics practices. We created a space where quality, comfort, efficiency, and beauty are seamlessly connected.
The result is an environment that not only meets your practical needs but also elevates everyday moments through harmonious balance and attention to detail.
